Alto del Perdon (Hill of Forgiveness) is a mountain pass in the Pyrenees Mountains of northern Spain, located on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. The pass is known for its stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the city of Pamplona, and is a popular spot for hikers and pilgrims to watch the sunrise. The inscription on the sculpture reads Donde se cruza el camino del viento con el de las estrellas — “Where the path of the wind crosses with that of the stars.”

We were lucky to have a perfect morning as we reached the top of the pass.  As the early morning light slowly illuminated the landscape, the contours of the mountains and valleys were revealed and it silhouetted the sculpture at the top of the pass. The sky transformed from dark blue to shades of pink and orange as the sun rose over the horizon.
