Fagradalsjfall - 2021

Geldingadalir Valley, Iceland

The photograph captures a captivating scene of the Fagradalsfjall volcano in Iceland erupting on June 2nd, 2021. The volcano stands tall in the background, with plumes of billowing ash and steam rising into the sky. Lava flows out of the crater and cascades down the slopes of the volcano in mesmerizing rivers of molten red and orange. The glowing lava creates a stark contrast against the dark volcanic rock and is reflected in the clouds above showcasing the raw power and beauty of nature. This spectacle of nature is further highlighted by the people standing on the hill to the rights side of the photo and how they are dwarfed by the eruption in front of them
